The Spinnaker team is a growing, loving network of staff and volunteers.
If you are interested in joining the team, please do get in touch and let us know. We would love to hear from you*.
The team is made up of many Christian's from different walks of life but all share one thing in common: a commitment to the Spinnaker mission. They carry out roles from schoolswork to Governorship and from leading a Hub to overseeing our IT. We could not do what we do with out any of them. They are an inspiring, encouraging, passionate bunch. Here is what a few of them are saying:
"Spinnaker is a great organisation which equips me to go into primary schools to lead assemblies. It is inspiring and rewarding work as the school staff so appreciate me going in as a volunteer and the childrens responses are always encouraging" David Jones, Orpington schools team
"Spinnaker assembly material is a brilliant, thoughtful and fun way of bringing God and Jesus and the Bible in to children's lives who may have no other experience of them, and I am glad that I'm in a position to share this with many children. I enjoy seeing children engaged and it's lovely when a child(or adult) says thank you or they enjoyed the assembly or a quiet 'yes!' when they realise it's a Spinnaker assembly." Caroline Rous, Orpington Schools team
"It’s so wonderful to work with Spinnaker. What better mission could there be than the opportunity to share with children Jesus’ message to us all – that it’s actually kindness, compassion, love, generosity & humility that make you a great person. Of course the clubs are huge fun for us adults as well as for the kids, but it’s more than that. Children are always looking for guidance & role models to follow. Maybe even more so if you’re a man. We all get plenty of things wrong, but living Jesus’ message and teaching – and giving children a great time into the bargain – is something immensely rewarding." Andrew Davies, Epsom schools team
"My experience in schools…both as teacher and parent, has meant I’ve always had education on my heart. Young children in particular are so receptive and delight in learning new things. What better than to teach them about the bible? What better than for me to support such an organisation with what skills I have?" Paul Board, Trustee
*Please note that our standard recruitment procedures will be followed for all paid and volunteer positions. All schoolswork appointments will be subject to a DBS check.
